Rick Madan is a highly motivated and results-oriented leader with a profound commitment to public service and enhancing the quality of life for residents in Miami. As the current President of the Biscayne Neighborhoods Association, he represents over 21 condominium associations and numerous residents across Edgewater and Midtown. Rick’s extensive experience in leadership, management, communication, and community engagement positions him as a pivotal figure in advocating for and nurturing a safe, vibrant community. His passion for public service is reflected in his efforts to provide platforms for community interaction, advocate for resident needs, and drive initiatives that bolster safety, beautification, and communal cohesion.

Before dedicating his focus to community service, Rick enjoyed a distinguished 40-year career at New York Life Insurance Company, a Fortune 100 entity. Rising to the rank of Managing Partner, he managed multi-million-dollar operations and teams across New York, Chicago, and South Florida, developing keen financial acumen and a robust capacity for leadership. This background has equipped him with exceptional problem-solving skills, a strong ethical compass, and an adeptness at building consensus among diverse groups. Rick continues to apply these skills to his work with the BNA, ensuring that the association not only meets but exceeds the expectations of its community members, fostering an environment where everyone feels connected, informed, and valued.

Marcos Loureiro is the Vice President of the Biscayne Neighborhoods Association (BNA), where he effectively leverages four decades of experience in Sales and Business Management at Halliburton, Hewlett-Packard, and Sales Outcomes Partners. He has been enabling business-to-business firms to improve marketing and sales organization performance. His extensive global experience has supported clients in North America, Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

Currently, he has been Managing Partner of Sales Outcomes for the last 11 years. Previously, he retired from HP after 24 years in a variety of national, regional, and global roles across a variety of business areas, including Test Equipment, Computer Hardware, Enterprise Software, and Outsourcing, in various functional areas such as sales, sales management, sales operations, business planning, and business management. After graduating, he began his career at Halliburton in the Oil & Gas Industry, where he spent seven years as a Logging Engineer in the oil fields of Brazil. Marcos holds a BSEE from Escola de Engenharia Mauá and an MBA from Fundação Getúlio Vargas in São Paulo.

Dr. Dorfman’s diverse professional background allows him to bring a unique perspective to his role as Treasurer of the Biscayne Neighborhoods Association (BNA), where he applies his vast knowledge and experience to enhance the financial and strategic operations of the association.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Dorfman is deeply committed to charitable initiatives, particularly those focusing on urban education. He is a retired dental surgeon and professor, having taught at Columbia University and NYU after an illustrious academic career at The University of Pennsylvania. There, he earned a degree in biochemistry, a minor in economics from Wharton, and his doctorate in dental medicine. Dr. Dorfman’s passion for education and his extensive experience in healthcare and economics significantly enrich his contributions to the BNA, helping to drive forward the association’s mission to foster a thriving and vibrant community in Edgewater and Midtown.

Laura Luder has been an integral part of the Miami community for nearly 25 years, embracing the city’s dynamic blend of cultures and rhythms. Since relocating to Miami with her family, she has been deeply involved in local philanthropy, contributing her time and energy to organizations such as Catholic Charities, the American Cancer Society, and Lighthouse for the Blind. Her professional journey is marked by a strong commitment to service, addressing the evolving needs of a growing population, and tackling challenges in housing and infrastructure.

In 2019, Laura moved to Paraiso Bay in Edgewater, where she quickly became an active member of her new community. She was elected President of the Paraiso Bay HOA Board of Directors, leveraging her leadership skills to enhance community life. Two years ago, she extended her commitment to community service by joining the Biscayne Neighborhoods Association (BNA) Board of Directors. At BNA, Laura continues to advocate for improvements and actively contributes to the development of policies and initiatives that enhance the quality of life in Edgewater.
