President
Rick Madan is a highly motivated and results-oriented leader with a profound commitment to public service and enhancing the quality of life for residents in Miami. As the current President of the Biscayne Neighborhoods Association, he represents over 21 condominium associations and numerous residents across Edgewater and Midtown. Rick’s extensive experience in leadership, management, communication, and community engagement positions him as a pivotal figure in advocating for and nurturing a safe, vibrant community. His passion for public service is reflected in his efforts to provide platforms for community interaction, advocate for resident needs, and drive initiatives that bolster safety, beautification, and communal cohesion.
Before dedicating his focus to community service, Rick enjoyed a distinguished 40-year career at New York Life Insurance Company, a Fortune 100 entity. Rising to the rank of Managing Partner, he managed multi-million-dollar operations and teams across New York, Chicago, and South Florida, developing keen financial acumen and a robust capacity for leadership. This background has equipped him with exceptional problem-solving skills, a strong ethical compass, and an adeptness at building consensus among diverse groups. Rick continues to apply these skills to his work with the BNA, ensuring that the association not only meets but exceeds the expectations of its community members, fostering an environment where everyone feels connected, informed, and valued.
Vice President
Marcos Loureiro is the Vice President of the Biscayne Neighborhoods Association (BNA), where he effectively leverages four decades of experience in Sales and Business Management at Halliburton, Hewlett-Packard, and Sales Outcomes Partners. He has been enabling business-to-business firms to improve marketing and sales organization performance. His extensive global experience has supported clients in North America, Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
Currently, he has been Managing Partner of Sales Outcomes for the last 11 years. Previously, he retired from HP after 24 years in a variety of national, regional, and global roles across a variety of business areas, including Test Equipment, Computer Hardware, Enterprise Software, and Outsourcing, in various functional areas such as sales, sales management, sales operations, business planning, and business management. After graduating, he began his career at Halliburton in the Oil & Gas Industry, where he spent seven years as a Logging Engineer in the oil fields of Brazil. Marcos holds a BSEE from Escola de Engenharia Mauá and an MBA from Fundação Getúlio Vargas in São Paulo.
Treasurer
Liz Amarillo is a finance professional with extensive experience in wealth management, investment operations, and client services. Her career includes key roles at leading financial institutions, where she supported high-net-worth clients and managed complex financial processes with precision and integrity. With dual degrees, multiple licenses, and a strong focus on detail, Liz brings a disciplined and analytical approach to her role as Treasurer. Her expertise ensures strong financial oversight for the BNA while supporting the organization’s continued growth and long-term sustainability.
Secretary
Vanessa A. Conde is a seasoned marketing executive and community leader with over two decades of experience across luxury, franchising, retail, and nonprofit sectors. Originally from New York City’s advertising world and now based in Miami, she is known for driving brand growth through strategic, data-driven storytelling.
She is the Managing Partner at Insight Community Solutions™ LLC, advising condominium associations on operations, financial planning, and governance. A licensed LCAM, Vanessa also serves as President of the Board of Directors for Gallery Art Condominium, where she leads strategic initiatives that strengthen long-term planning and property value.
Vanessa is actively engaged in the Edgewater community through the Biscayne Neighborhoods Association and serves on the Miami-Dade Animal Services Advisory Board, supporting initiatives that enhance both community and animal welfare.
Director
Ana is a strategic digital product and business leader with over 15 years of experience leading transformation initiatives for Fortune 500 companies such as Fidelity Investments, Capital One, and GEICO. She is joining the BNA as a Director.
Beyond her impressive corporate career, Ana is passionate about grassroots community-building. She is the founder and manager of the Edgewater Life WhatsApp group, connecting over 700 neighbors, and runs the @EdgewaterSocial Instagram page, promoting local events and businesses. Ana holds an MBA and a Master of Science in Information & Systems Technology from George Washington University and is certified in Agile, Scrum@Scale, and Lean Six Sigma.
A proud Edgewater resident, dog mom to CaraMelo, and advocate for animal welfare and public safety, Ana brings a dynamic blend of leadership, creativity, and community spirit to the BNA.
Director
Patricia is a distinguished attorney with deep experience across all areas of immigration law. A cum laude graduate of the University of Miami School of Law, she is licensed to practice in Florida and is an active member of both the Florida Bar and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). She will be serving on the BNA Board with the role of Secretary.
Patricia is also deeply committed to philanthropy, having served on the board of the South Florida Center for Independent Living and founded The Inspirational Project – Your Upward Journey. Additionally, she is also the Founder and CEO of Petit Espace, a company supporting people understand their self-awareness, world awareness, and relationships. Fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, she brings a wealth of legal expertise and a strong spirit of service to our community.
Legal Counsel
Mr. Gursky is a senior partner at Haber Law and specializes in the practice of community association law and construction. This practice includes construction defect negotiation and litigation, turnover representation, and covenant interpretation, preparation and enforcement. He has lectured extensively on a variety of topics affiliated with community association operations, legislation, and related legal rulings. He has been designated a facilitator to conduct educational programs by the State of Florida Department of Professional and Business
Regulation, Division of Florida Land Sales, Condominiums and Mobile Homes. In 2010, Superlawyers recognized Mr. Gursky as a “Rising Star.”
Mr. Gursky attended Nova Southeastern Law School, graduating in 2002, with a concentration in International Law. He also attended Michigan State University, graduating 1999, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. Mr. Gursky is also admitted to the United States District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of Florida.
Head Of Communications
Aaron Ahedo is the dynamic Head of Communications for the Biscayne Neighborhoods Association (BNA), where he effectively combines his extensive expertise in strategic communication, public relations, and entrepreneurship. As the founder of Awesome Human, a company dedicated to creating conscious skincare and supplements that support charitable causes, and Awesome Design Lab, a marketing and communications agency focusing on innovative marketing strategies, Aaron infuses his passion for community engagement and social responsibility into every facet of his work. This robust combination of business acumen, philanthropy, and marketing savvy enriches his role at BNA, enhancing the association’s messaging and community interactions in the vibrant neighborhoods of Edgewater and Midtown, Miami.
With a distinguished career in cosmetics, product development, and marketing, Aaron brings a wealth of unique perspectives to his role at BNA. His innovative approach to digital communication has significantly increased the association’s visibility and fostered stronger relationships within the community and with key stakeholders. Passionate about creating impactful communications that resonate with diverse audiences, Aaron continues to drive the BNA’s mission forward, ensuring that all community voices are heard and that the association’s initiatives are clearly and effectively conveyed.
