This December marked a truly special first for our neighborhood.

Thanks to the support of Damian Pardo, the City of Miami, and the City’s Parks and Recreation Department, funding was secured for a Christmas tree and menorah at Margaret Pace Park—for the first time ever.

This milestone brought warmth, light, and celebration to the heart of Edgewater, and we could not be more thrilled to see our park filled with joy during the holiday season.

A Community Celebration to Remember

With that foundation in place, the Biscayne Neighborhoods Association helped bring the cheer to life.

• Santa Claus visited the park, delighting children and families for a full hour
• Nearly 100 families came together to celebrate
• Every family received a professional holiday photo, creating memories they can cherish for years

This event would not have been possible without the generous support of East Side Market, whose collaboration helped make the afternoon truly special. Beyond this celebration, BNA has also worked closely with East Side Market to secure the necessary City of Miami permits for the Edgewater Farmers Market—now a thriving weekly gathering every Sunday at Margaret Pace Park that supports local vendors, strengthens community connections, and brings consistent, positive activity to the park year-round.
