Biscayne Neighborhoods Association Welcomes New Board Members and Announces Leadership Updates
The Biscayne Neighborhoods Association (BNA) is proud to announce the appointment of two outstanding professionals to its Board of Directors, further strengthening our mission to advocate for and serve the Edgewater community.
Welcoming Vanessa A. Conde, Secretary
Vanessa A. Conde is a seasoned marketing executive and community leader with more than two decades of experience spanning luxury, franchising, retail, beauty, travel, and nonprofit sectors. Originally from New York City’s advertising world and now based in Miami, she is known for driving growth through strategic, data-driven storytelling and brand positioning.
She is the Managing Partner at Insight Community Solutions™ LLC, where she advises condominium associations on operations, financial planning, and governance. A licensed LCAM, Vanessa also serves as President of the Board of Directors for Gallery Art Condominium, helping guide long-term planning and property enhancement initiatives that strengthen both financial stability and resident experience.
In addition to her work in community associations, Vanessa continues to operate as a fractional marketing executive, partnering with brands to refine positioning and execute integrated marketing strategies across digital and traditional platforms.
Vanessa is actively involved in the Edgewater community through the Biscayne Neighborhoods Association and serves on the Miami-Dade Animal Services Advisory Board, supporting initiatives focused on responsible development and animal welfare.
Welcoming Liz Amarillo, Treasurer
We are also excited to welcome Liz Amarillo as Treasurer. Liz brings extensive experience in the financial services sector, with a strong background in investment operations, client relations, and financial management.
Her career includes roles at leading institutions such as Merrill Lynch Wealth Management and Bolton Global Capital, where she supported high-net-worth clients and managed complex financial processes with precision and integrity. Her expertise in compliance, reporting, and operational efficiency positions her well to oversee BNA’s financial responsibilities.
Liz holds dual degrees, along with multiple licenses and certifications, reflecting her commitment to continuous learning and professional excellence. With a disciplined and analytical approach, she brings strong financial stewardship and a thoughtful perspective that will support the organization’s continued growth and long-term sustainability.

Welcoming Our Legal Counsel
We also proudly welcome Darrin Gursky as legal counsel to the BNA. Mr. Gursky is a Senior Partner at Haber Law and specializes in community association law and construction. His practice includes construction defect negotiation and litigation, turnover representation, and covenant interpretation, preparation, and enforcement.

Mr. Gursky has lectured extensively on topics related to community association operations, legislation, and legal rulings, and has been designated as a facilitator by the State of Florida Department of Professional and Business Regulation, Division of Florida Land Sales, Condominiums and Mobile Homes. In 2010, he was recognized by Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star.”
He earned his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law in 2002, with a concentration in International Law, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Michigan State University. Mr. Gursky is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for both the Southern and Northern Districts of Florida.
Board Transitions and Acknowledgments
As we welcome new leadership, we also extend our sincere gratitude to those who have served with dedication.
Dr. Jeffrey Dorfman has stepped down from his role as Treasurer after two years of invaluable service. We thank him for his commitment to the BNA and the Edgewater community. His contributions were especially impactful in advancing initiatives at Margaret Pace Park and supporting the successful mayoral debate at the Adrienne Arsht Center.
We also recognize Patricia Périssé Bochi, ESQ (Patú), who is transitioning from her role as Secretary to Director. We thank her for her service and continued support of the organization over the past months and look forward to her ongoing contributions in this new capacity.
Looking Ahead
The BNA will continue to work towards building a strong, connected, and informed community. With the addition of Vanessa and Liz, alongside our dedicated board members and trusted legal counsel, we remain committed to advocating for our residents, supporting meaningful initiatives, and fostering engagement throughout Edgewater.
Together, we move forward with purpose, collaboration, and a shared vision for the future of our neighborhood.
