Together, they reinforce the city’s commitment to protecting Biscayne Bay and supporting sustainable development.

Baywalk Progress

We have made major strides on the missing Baywalk segment at NE 29th Street:

• City Hall has formally approved the next phase.
• The site visit is completed.
• The required report has been submitted to F.I.N.D. as part of the grant process.
• We are now awaiting the Grant Approval Letter and the Notice to Proceed, which will give us a construction timeline.

We understand residents’ frustration — the process involves complex elements, from water rights to air rights — but movement is happening, and the BNA is pushing it forward every step of the way.

What is F.I.N.D.?

The Florida Inland Navigation District (FIND), created in 1927, maintains the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway and supports local governments with waterfront access and improvement projects. Their approval plays a key role in bringing the Baywalk to completion.
