A Bigger, Smarter, More Connected BNA: Membership News
In 2025, membership at the BNA hit a new level—and it’s all thanks to you.
This spring, we launched our new Institutional Membership tier to officially welcome organizations, nonprofits, and civic institutions into the BNA network. Our first four institutional members are no small names:
- The Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County – bringing culture and the performing arts closer to home
- Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce – supporting local businesses and job growth
- Miami Downtown Development Authority (DDA) – a key ally for urban and economic development and smart planning
- Omni CRA – funding and revitalizing public spaces and infrastructure
This expansion reflects a larger mission: to build Edgewater with intention. Our goal is to grow the community in 360 degrees—through arts, culture, infrastructure, wellness, and smart business. With influential institutions at the table, we’re better equipped to bring resources, investment, and innovation into our neighborhood.
We’ve also welcomed three new commercial members, all bringing unique value to our residents and businesses:
- DigitechX – your expert in BDA systems, ensuring emergency communication compliance in high-rise buildings
- Google Fiber – delivering reliable, high-speed internet with city-wide rollout
- Impact Glass Services – your local ally in window and door replacement, especially in preparation for storm season
Meanwhile, our Commission Task Force continues to thrive, now nearly 100 residents strong. This group has made a visible impact at commission meetings—advocating for policies and plans that serve Edgewater’s unique needs. You can join the WhatsApp Group HERE. To kick off the second half of the year, we’re hosting a virtual task force meeting on August 18th, 2025 at 6PM, and we’d love for more of you to get involved.
Leadership within BNA also saw exciting changes. We’re thrilled to introduce our two newest board members:
- Ana Paula Nery, elected as Director, brings her dynamic energy and passion for urban living.
- Patricia Bochi, our newly elected Secretary, offers deep community insight and a commitment to service.
With your support, we’re building a stronger, more connected Edgewater—one member, one meeting, and one milestone at a time.
