A Cleaner, Safer, Stronger Margaret Pace Park
Thanks to Melba Leiman, Park Manager, and the City of Miami Parks Department, Margaret Pace Park has undergone a remarkable transformation. Recent upgrades include deep cleanings, new paint throughout the park, refreshed facilities, and brand-new restroom fixtures such as toilets and mirrors. The improvements are visible — and they reflect the collective commitment to maintaining a park our entire community can be proud of.
Trunk or Treat: 300+ Kids, One Incredibly Joyful Afternoon
Our Trunk or Treat Halloween event brought Margaret Pace Park to life, with more than 300 kids running around in costumes, collecting candy, and enjoying a safe family experience right in Edgewater.
This event’s success was made possible with the generous support of Google Fiber, Braman, Commissioner Damian Pardo, and the City of Miami Police Department, all of whom helped ensure a festive and secure celebration for our neighborhood.
A New Weekly Tradition: The Margaret Pace Park Farmers & Flea Market
Thanks to ongoing BNA support and coordination, residents can now enjoy a brand-new weekly flea and farmers market every Sunday at Margaret Pace Park. This vibrant community space features fresh produce, local vendors, handcrafted goods, and a growing sense of neighborly connection. It has quickly become a new Sunday tradition in Edgewater — and an exciting addition to our neighborhood’s amenities.
International Coastal & Neighborhood Cleanup: 450 Pounds Collected
Our International Coastal & Neighborhood Cleanup Day was a huge success. Together with volunteers from The Arsht Center, SeaKeepers International, and VolunteerCleanup.org, we collected around 450 pounds of trash throughout Edgewater and along the shoreline at Margaret Pace Park. Every bag of debris removed makes our neighborhood cleaner, safer, and more beautiful — and we’re grateful to everyone who participated.
A Major Win: Baynanza Returns to Edgewater
After years away due to low turnout, Baynanza is officially returning to Margaret Pace Park next year — a major achievement reflecting our growing community engagement. With hundreds of volunteers now showing up for cleanups and park activities, the City has taken notice, and Edgewater is once again being recognized as an active, dedicated waterfront community.
We’ll continue working closely with the City and our partners to ensure our parks, waterfronts, and public spaces keep improving for all residents.
