When We Come Together, Great Things Happen
This year, our calendar has been packed—and powerful.
We kicked off with a standout Arsht Center Event, where voices from the City of Miami, Miami-Dade County, and the Arsht Center’s President Johann Ziestmann came together to discuss Edgewater’s future—from safety and infrastructure to arts and culture. We also heard valuable legal updates from David Haber, from Haber Law, offering insight into statewide legislation affecting residents, boards, and condo associations.

Our Hurricane Preparedness Forum featured speakers from Miami-Dade Resilience, Global Pro, Siegfried Rivera, Castle Group, and Falcon Group—offering practical advice on how to prepare for, respond to, and recover from storm events. And for deeper expertise, we hosted a specialized Insurance Forum for building boards and management teams with the help of our trusted partners at Falcon Group, Brown & Brown, and USI. In a time of rising premiums and shifting coverage, staying informed has never been more critical.
But we didn’t stop there.
Then came the celebration: our Margaret Pace Park Summer Kickoff drew over 700 parents and children to the heart of our neighborhood. With inflatable slides, ice cream, and even a helicopter and boat display from Miami Fire Rescue and City of Miami Police, this family-friendly event reminded us how fun and connected community can be.

We also kept our streets shining with two “Own Your Block” cleanups, rallying residents in January and May to beautify our neighborhood, block by block. Hundreds of volunteers turned out—and the results speak for themselves.
And we’re not done yet. Mark your calendar for September 20th, when we’ll host our biggest cleanup of the year as part of International Coastal Cleanup Day. It’s your chance to get involved, meet your neighbors, and protect the place we all call home.
From education to celebration, these events are just one more way the Biscayne Neighborhoods Association is helping Edgewater grow smarter, stronger, and more connected—together.
