June 18 meeting report

Thank you for your Interest in our community and attending the June 18th meeting of the Biscayne Neighborhoods Association.  We hope that it lived up to your expectations.

We had the attendance and the participation not only of our neighbors but also the authorities.

New Projects and Updates

  • Margaret Pace Park
    • Our achieved goal of a Dog Run in Margaret Pace Park is a first big step for all of us with different interests to be able to share the common space.  Construction will commence very soon for this Small dog, Big dog separated Dog Run
    • Our neighbors presented additional needed changes and enhancements to the Park to make us all proud.  Park authorities had an immediate positive response.  A meeting will be scheduled with the Director of Parks to continue the momentum.
  • Homeless ShelterNOW
    • If you follow our website you will see that we support the funding of the City of Miami Shelter Program (at Camillus House).  The Homeless Trust Fund is saying ‘NO’ to funding shelter even when they have a tax payer funded budget that this year is more than $57 million.
    • Give a Voice to the Solution at the decision making meeting:
